Before real estate
I came to this from engineering
I spent my career as an engineer at Bay Area Rapid Transit. I got my real estate license before retiring from BART, joined JDK & Associates Realty, and my wife and I joined forces as the E Ticket Team. With her years in the business well ahead of mine, I had a good idea what I was walking into.
Engineering is a useful place to come from. A house purchase is a long sequence of things that have to happen in the right order, and the difference between a smooth close and a painful one is usually whether somebody was tracking all of them.
I am continually taking courses offered by the California Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors, as well as attending webinars and local classes. Not being satisfied with a salesperson license, I obtained a Broker license in January of 2024, though I intend to stay with JDK & Associates as a Broker Associate.
My dedication does not stop when the sale completes. As one client put it, even after the sale you can still call me for answers.
